Terms and Conditions for Participants

A. Definitions

1. Attendee - person who will attend the Conference (Workshops, if applicable)
2. Organizer - Polish Branch of International Fiscal Association
3. Conference - Conference organized in Warsaw on 26 & 27 November 2009 "Effect of accession. Insights into a possible common future for new EU member state domestic tax systems"
4. Workshops - workshops organized in Warsaw on 25 November before the Conference. The exact timing of various workshops offered by the Organizer will be presented on the webpage www.ifawarsaw.com.

B. Registration Process and Payment Methods, Fees

1. The regular fee for the participation in the Conference amounts to PLN equivalent of EUR 600. Early bird fee amounts to PLN equivalent of EUR 500.
2. Reduced fee is available for academics, government representatives and participants under 30 years old and amounts to PLN equivalent of EUR 550. Early bird reduced fee amounts to PLN equivalent of EUR 450.
3. Fee for participation in the Workshops (any two of workshops chosen by the Attendee) amounts to PLN equivalent of EUR 100.
4. Attendee will be able to select the early bird fee until September 30, 2009 or any later date announced by the Organizer on the webpage www.ifawarsaw.com. If payment has not been received by the Organizer till 00:00 CET, October 3, 2009, the Attendee will be charged the regular fee (or reduced fee, if applicable).
5. Conference registrations will not be confirmed until the completed registration form (as presented on the webpage www.ifawarsaw.com) and the correct payment are received and processed by the Organizer.
6. Registrants should obtain confirmation from the Organizer before committing to travel arrangements.
7. Organizer cannot be responsible for your spam filters blocking your confirmation email. Please be sure your spam filters will allow e-mail from the Organizer.
8. Accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. Attendees are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements. Hotel Intercontinental, where the Conference is hosted, will offer special discounted rates to Participants.
9. Capacity is limited to 300 attendees. Registrations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
10. No payments are allowed onsite.

B. Cancellation Policy

1. Conference registration can be cancelled only in writing to: Jowita Filipiuk, Accreo Taxand, Grzybowska 5A, 00-132 Warszawa, Polska or via e-mail: info@ifawarsaw.com.
2. Conference registrations cancelled on or before October 15, 2009 will be entitled to a 50% refund. Registrations cancelled after October 15, 2009 will not be entitled to a refund.
3. Substitutions are allowed at any time. If you wish to substitute a participant, please contact Jowita Filipiuk, Accreo Taxand, Grzybowska 5A, 00-132 Warszawa, Polska or via e-mail: info@ifawarsaw.com at the earliest opportunity.
4. All refunds will be made within two months after the Conference.

C. Date, time and conference program

1. Conference will take place in Warsaw on 26 & 27 November 2009, Workshops will be offered on 25 November 2009.
2. Organizer reserves the right, because of special circumstances, or due to force majeure, to modify or change dates and times of the Conference. In such cases Organiser is not liable for any damages. Special circumstances might be described, but not limited to, those circumstances which fall under force majeure in the broadest sense of the definition, such as fire, national emergency, terrorist threat, epidemic diseases, natural disaster, etc. In such circumstances the participant has no right to cancel registration, but may be offered alternative dates and times.
3. Conference program and the speakers are subject to change at the discretion of the Organizer.

D. Personal Information

1. Participant contact details will be kept on the Organizer's database. Credit card information will not be stored in this database.
2. Unless the Organizer has received an explicit request from registrant disallowing to share his/her contact information, a list of all Attendees, their affiliation institutions and e-mail addresses may be included in the delegate packs.
3. The e-mail addresses will also be used to circulate last minute details and announcements of future events.
4. If you would like your record to be deleted after the Conference, please notify the Organizer by email info@ifawarsaw.com.

E. Other

1. Organiser is entitled to introduce the changes to Terms and Conditions for Participants. The changes become effective as of the date of publishing the amended version of this document on the webpage www.ifawarsaw.com.
